Inside Sales Manager

SkillNet Solutions is a rapidly growing consulting and technology services organization focused on the retail industry. Amongst its clients are leading retailers such as Gymboree, Pier 1 Imports, The Bombay Company, Hot Topic, Saks 5th Avenue and Armani. It partners with leading retail software vendors such as Blue Martini, Retek and IBM. SkillNet serves its clients from its HQ in Cupertino, California, USA, St. Louis, Missouri, Singapore and Mumbai, India. We are opening our European offices in Q1, 2005.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, reach and qualify potential new retail and other clients for SkillNet's technology services and outsourcing
  • Work in concert with 4 to 6 field sales people to carry out a joint sales approach to effectively grow revenues, keep a constant pipeline of opportunities and achieve sales targets
  • Carry out effective new account development
  • Use the Internet, Hoovers and other resources for cold calling into new accounts
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to convert interest into specific opportunities

Experience and Skills
The ideal candidate will have a minimum 2 years phone sales experience utilizing a consultative, value-added solutions selling approach with a documented record of success in meeting/exceeding sales goals. Experience in the software industry with a services organization. Experience selling to retail clients highly desirable.

  • Must be able to work independently and handling multiple tasks well.
  • Must be highly organized, self-managed and a team player.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills required with a pleasant and professional phone manner coupled with the desire to consistently make 40-50 calls each day to reach potential prospects.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office software required.
  • Working knowledge of remote selling tools including webinars, web chat, and effective use of e-mail/voice mail.
  • College Graduate Preferred.
  • 2-3 years Business to Business Sales Experience, ideally in the Software or Information Technology industries.
