An experienced management team has steered SkillNet successfully to rapid growth and profitability.
Vidya Damle, CEO
Vidya is the founder of SkillNet and brings more than 25 years of high-tech experience in general management, business development, and engineering.
Prior to SkillNet, Vidya was the founding employee and VP at SoftPlus, a solutions company focused on delivering CRM solutions to the telecommunications industry. At SoftPlus, Vidya oversaw rapid growth of revenues to approximately $16 million in three years. Prior to SoftPlus Vidya had worked in various senior management roles in technical as well as business development areas with Digital Tools, Novell and Digital (acquired by Compaq).
He has helped the creation of two successful Internet startups, in the capacity of the chief advisor. Vidya holds an MSEE from University of Bombay.
Rajib Das, Chief Operating Officer
At SkillNet, Rajib is responsible for all business functions including Strategy, Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Solution Engineering and Delivery. Rajib has more than 17 years of experience in the areas of software solutions, product management and marketing in the technology industry.
Prior to SkillNet, he was Senior Direct Marketing and Product Management at US Interactive where he conceptualized and marketed e-CRM and eCommerce solutions to the communications industry.
Rajib started his career at a Hewlett Packard joint venture, where his team launched India’s first branded home computer. This success spurred him on to becoming one of the founding employees of PlanetAsia, India’s first Internet consulting company. Rajib did his MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a BSEE from Institute of Technology, Varanasi.
Mike Robichaud – VP of E-Commerce
Mike Robichaud leads the E-Commerce efforts in SkillNet. He has more than 35 years experience as an executive leader for organizations ranging in scope from $10 million start ups to $80 billion Fortune 100 corporations across diverse industries and market segments.
Prior to SkillNet, Mike advised CXOs across various organizations on business issues for 4 years. Prior to that, as Industry Principal for Telecommunications at SAP, he had P&L responsibility for $50 million business and oversaw industry thought leadership, client relationships, partner alliances, ISV alliances, business development , industry solution marketing and advice to SAP Product Development labs on new software functionality required to meet Telecommunications Services Providers industry requirements.
Before SAP, he was the Sr. Director of Professional Services in Bell Canada. Previously Mike was the VP of Professional Services at a leading E-Commerce Platform – Blue Martini Software and a leading Mobile Platform – Wysdom.
He held senior roles in IT Solutions and consulting companies such as AT Kearney, IBM Global Services and Deloitte and IT roles in manufacturing companies such as Marsulex and ICI. He graduated with B.SC Honors in Chemistry from McGill University.
Jack Grover, Vice President – Finance and Operations
Jack is responsible for all Finance and Operations activities in SkillNet. He has more than 25 years of International experience as a professional specializing in corporate financial management, accounting and auditing. Prior to SkillNet Inc., Jack was Executive Vice President for ABE Technologies Inc. in San Francisco, where he successfully incubated Buzzrocket.com and Superhireway.com. Before ABE Technologies Inc, Jack worked in Senior Financial Management positions with companies such as MSI Inc, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola (Africa), Firestone Tire and Rubber Co., and Bechtel (Saudi Arabia). Jack received his CPA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, his CA (Chartered Accountant) from Mumbai, India and his MBA in Finance and Marketing from California Coast University in Santa Ana, California. He is a member of AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants), as well as the California and Illinois Societies for Certified Public Accountants, and is a licensed Notary Public in California.
Dr. Vivek Damle, Vice President – Corporate Development
Dr. Vivek oversees the Global Operations and Corporate Development activities at SkillNet. He is the Managing Director of SkillNet Solutions India Private Limited (SSIPL), Mumbai and is responsible for the coordination between the India Development Center, Asia-Pacific operations, and the US office. He has more than 18 years of experience in the areas of general management, sales and marketing, industry analysis, high-tech research, and business development. Dr. Vivek Damle serves as the chairman of Savida Agri-Com, a global agri-business consulting firm and is the founder of Aginformex.com. Prior to SkillNet, he has worked in the agri-biotech and seed industry and was a consultant to Monsanto Company in the U.S.A. and India. Vivek holds a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, U.S.A.
Anurag Mehta, Vice President- Oracle Business
Anurag heads up Oracle business within SkillNet. With 12 years experience in enterprise software industry, he brings-in multi-dimensional capabilities in the areas of Strategy, Operations and Business Development. Before joining SkillNet, Anurag founded Clarus Logic, a bay area company focused on supply chain analytics for Retail and CPG. Previously, as a Director at Manugistics, Anurag successfully led global product engineering and solutions teams and spearheaded the company’s foray in offshoring by helping build development and consulting operations in India. Earlier, working at the Boston office of another enterprise software leader- BaaN, Anurag developed frameworks in rapid deployment of enterprise software for midmarket customers. Anurag started his career in strategic management consulting, with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in New Delhi and later at Booz Allen & Hamilton in Washington DC, working in the areas of mergers, acquisitions and corporate strategy. As a consultant, Anurag has worked with global leaders like Cisco, Oracle, Boeing, Unilever and Porsche. Anurag has studied engineering before completing his MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
